She played Karen Walker (Amanda Walker) on The NBC program Will & Grace, which was on from 1998 until 2006 before relaunching in 2017 and 2020. Mullally was awarded the award of eight Primetime Emmy Award nominees for Outstanding Actress Supporting in a Comedy Series. In her character, Mullally was also nominated and won several prizes. One of her first appearances in a commercial was the McDonald's commercial, which also included John Goodman. Mullally made her debut on The Ellen Burstyn Show, which aired on the air in 1986.
